Scope and Contents of the Materials

The collection consists of a ledger of freight Transactions conducted by Timothy Cooley in mid 1800s. Presumably, Timothy Colley was a veterinarian residing in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Part of his ledger is dedicated to the handling of horses. The collection also includes a letter from Tuscumbia (Nov. 9, 1871) by Carrie Cooley to her sister; reciept from Franklin County, City of Tuscumbia (April 24, 1867) holding lot number 96 of the plannded city for Timothy Cooley (Administrator for Samuel Bennett), various receipts for cotract transport.
