This collection contains information on the history of the American Association of University Women here in North Alabama. It includes newspaper articles, membership lists, projects the association worked on, and financial records and budgets. It also includes photographs, books, ledgers, scrapbooks, and reports that detail the inner workings of the association.
Biographical Note
The American Association of University Women was founded in 1881. It is a non-profit organization that helps assist females in jobs after college graduation as well as funding for those who may need assistance to go to college.
